The content of submissions made to 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE2008) has today been published on the RAE2008 web-site. These are the submission data that the 67 panels of experts examined to determine the results of the RAE2008.

The following are now available on the RAE 2008 website - main and sub-panel procedural minutes from the assessment phase; sub-profile data (research outputs, research environment and esteem indicators) for all UoAs, excluding submissions with three or fewer headcount (Category A plus Category C) and names and organisations of specialist advisors used during the assessment phase.

HEFCE announced today that it will allocate £7,994 million to universities and colleges in 2009-10, representing an increase of 4 per cent from the previous year.

Research Assessment Exercise Universities wait anxiously for results that may bring academic glory or financial dismay. The fate of thousands of academic careers and the finances of a fair few universities will be sealed this week after a seven-year hiatus. On Thursday, the results of the sixth, and last, assessment exercise (RAE) will be announced.
